Future X 2026 is a national AI & innovation competition by The Wonder Minds — a platform for school students to identify a real-world problem, apply AI and emerging technology, and build a solution worth showcasing at IIT Roorkee.
Future X is built on the belief that students shouldn't only learn about Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and emerging technology — they should learn how to apply it to problems that matter. Every team follows a real innovation journey: identify a problem, research it, design a solution, and defend it in front of expert judges on a national stage.
Teams identify issues that matter to real communities — then research users, causes and existing gaps before proposing a solution.
Every use of AI, robotics or coding is expected to explain what it improves — efficiency, accuracy, accessibility or impact.
Shortlisted teams get a dedicated Mentor Round in November to strengthen their idea before the finale.
The journey ends at IIT Roorkee — in front of judges, mentors and innovators from across the country.
From a spark of an idea to a national pitch — this is the path every team walks.
Identify a real problem & research users, causes and existing gaps.
Submit for online evaluation on relevance, innovation & feasibility.
Shortlisted teams get expert mentorship to sharpen the solution.
Finalists pitch their innovation live at IIT Roorkee.
Walk away as a young innovator, problem-solver & tech creator.
Whether your team is just getting started or already building — there's a track designed for you.
A starting point, not a limit — open innovation is always welcome.
Smart irrigation, crop-health monitoring & resource-efficient agriculture.
Assistive tech, health monitoring, accessibility & early-risk support.
Waste management, mobility, public safety & urban efficiency.
AI-enabled learning support, personalization & teacher assistance.
Water conservation, energy optimization & waste reduction.
Any real-world problem where technology can create measurable impact.
Judges weigh how well a team connects the problem, the technology and the potential impact — not technical complexity alone.
The Future X 2026 journey culminates at IIT Roorkee, where shortlisted teams present live in front of judges, mentors and innovators from across India.
